Our client, a tier one global bank based in London is looking for a Secondary Loans Trading Operations Middle Office Manager to join their global markets operations team.
The successful candidate will utilise their pro-active personality to manage internal and external stakeholders with their high level of understanding of industry and regulatory improvements within the loans market. As the middle office manager within the secondary loans trading operations team, you will be the point of call to maintain a robust control environment, as well as leveraging strong working relationships, front to back.

- Secondary Loans experience within trade booking or settlements
- Strong Loans product background
- LoanIQ desirable but not essential
- Strong team working and leadership skills
- Ability to work closely with and influence a broad range of stakeholders
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure to strict deadlines
About the role:
- The SLT Ops team provide post trade support to the Secondary Loans Trading desk.
- The Operations team undertake the Closing, Middle Office duties, and Settlement process for Secondary Loan Trades. Segregation from the SLT Trading function is critical to provide independent trade booking, checks and controls over trade confirmations, transfer certificates and back-office system entries.
- The Loans are both Par (non-distressed) and stressed within the portfolio which is global.
- This role requires pro-active engagement with internal and external, where applicable, stakeholders, both regionally and globally, strong communication skills, plus the ability to independently identify efficiency / STP opportunities.
- It also requires the individual to have an awareness of the Industry/Regulatory improvements within the Loans market, and how that may impact the day-to-day processes.
Examples of Targets and Measures
- Provide close Operational support directly to Trading Desk, FO Business Management and all key stakeholders
- Close monitoring intersystem reconciliation real and systemic breaks with strong focus on overall control framework
- Escalation point for Operations issues for MO and FO teams
