We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global firm that offers an exciting opportunity for a Loan Agency Transaction Manager to join their London-based team. About the Role
This position sits within a team of experienced specialists, with a focus on managing a portfolio as facility and security agent whilst building relationships with key stakeholders, including lenders, borrowers, and third parties such as legal and regulatory teams. As a Loan Agency Transaction Manager, you will oversee the execution of loan transactions, including the closing of new deals, supporting borrowing base and covenant calculations, and managing interest payment cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the closing of loan transactions in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Support legal teams with documentation, including LMA standard loan agreements.
- Run interest payment dates, drawdown cycles, and other key processes for a portfolio of loans.
- Collect and analyse borrower deliverables such as borrowing base models and compliance certificates.
- Liaise with borrowers and lenders, ensuring smooth communication and transaction execution.
- Prepare and manage payment instructions and remittances from secured accounts.
- Work closely with internal teams to continuously improve processes and controls.
- Contribute to business expansion projects and support other team members as needed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and previous experience managing portfolio financing transactions. You should possess a deep understanding of complex loan structures and credit risks, with excellent analytical skills and a client-facing attitude. You’ll be expected to prioritise multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with various teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in LMA documentation as facility agent
- Strong experience with the calculation of borrowing base rates
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients confidently.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, with an understanding of complex loan structures.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
