Loan Operations Associate

This is an opportunity to join a specialist team operating across corporate and real estate transactions, with exposure to complex bilateral and syndicated deals.

The role sits within a close-knit lending operations team responsible for the end-to-end operational management of a diverse portfolio. From pre-settlement through to maturity, you will play a key role in ensuring transactions are accurately set up, settled, administered (using LoanIQ) and monitored in line with internal risk frameworks and documentation.

Working closely with front office, legal, risk and finance stakeholders, you will support deal execution and lifecycle management, gaining deep exposure to primary and secondary loan activity in a professional, high-standards environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Operational ownership of bilateral and syndicated loan transactions from pre-settlement through maturity
  • Deal setup, booking and ongoing administration within a corporate loan system
  • Processing utilisations, rollovers, interest payments (cash and PIK), repayments and prepayments
  • Navigating loan documentation to support funding, cash flows and lifecycle events
  • Managing borrower covenants and information undertakings
  • Supporting KYC requests, conflicts checks and internal approvals
  • Settling secondary loan trades, both manually and via market platforms such as ClearPar
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate execution of transactions

Candidate profile

  • 6 months to 2 years’ experience in loan administration, lending operations or loan agency
  • Experience supporting corporate lending transactions within a bank, fund, advisory firm or loan servicer
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
  • Comfortable working to deadlines in a controlled, regulated environment
  • Confident numerical ability with strong Excel skills
  • Degree educated in finance, economics, accounting or a related discipline preferred
