About the Role

 

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading international bank as they build an exceptional team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within their Loans function using LoanIQ, across both Loans Agency and Loans Administration. This role offers a unique chance to cross-train across all functions and transaction types, ensuring every SME gains a comprehensive understanding of all work undertaken. This approach fosters superior knowledge, collaboration, and fluidity within and between both teams.

 

The team operates on a hybrid model—working two days in the office and three days remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of loan administration for complex loan portfolios.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and direct support to front office teams, external lenders, and borrowers.
  • Support strategic firmwide and regulatory change initiatives, including technology upgrades and process enhancements.
  • Review and process documentation and settlements for secondary trading, credit risk insurance, and agency fee billing.
  • Liaise daily with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, and Operations to ensure timely setup and settlement of obligations.
  • Monitor payment queues and daily controls to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes under continuous improvement principles.
  • Train and mentor junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice across the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in loans administration, ideally within a corporate or investment banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of LoanIQ systems (or similar systems), loan funding mechanisms, and SWIFT payment processes.
  • Solid grasp of operational loan documentation and market practices.
  • Proven ability to work accurately under pressure, prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a desire to challenge and improve existing processes.
