An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Loan Closing professional to join a dynamic, diversified asset management company with an entrepreneurial business culture and growing list of businesses, and to play a key role on a supportive, forward-thinking team.

This position is based in their London office, with hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background (bachelor’s or master’s Degree is essential) with 3-5 years experience in Loan Closing.

The continuing growth and further complexity of the funds have created an opportunity for a high energy, Loan Closing Operations Analyst who is looking to work in a small team in a sophisticated organisation. The company offers the opportunity to work very closely with the traders/portfolio managers as well as the other support functions, giving employees the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the business.

The role is varied with the potential to expand further. The current areas of responsibility are:

  • Providing best-in-class operational support to the various businesses at the firm.
  • Ensuring a detailed knowledge of the products we trade and the risks associated with trading them.
  • Identifying ways to reduce these risks and improve how we control our processes using existing and new technologies.
  • Supporting the implementation of new businesses.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our counterparties and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree with a strong academic record.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Loan closing.
  • Knowledge of Bank loans to include:
    • Closing transactions
    • Lifecycle events including interest, paydowns and restructurings
  • Analytic mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Well-organised and self-motivated, able to deliver with minimal supervision.
  • Able to multitask and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A strong sense of ownership, obligation and personal accountability.

Pluses

  • Knowledge of Clearpar, Bloomberg and Geneva, desirable but not essential
