Our client, who provide third party Loan Closing services to various Asset Managers & Funds, are looking for an experienced Loan Closer to join their business with a focus on growth and first class service to their clients.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual able to work in an entrepreneurial fast pace working environment. To be successful in this role you will be an effective communicator and already have at least 2 years’ experience within Loan Closing.
Main Responsibilities of the Loan Closer:
- Closing of high-volume PAR and Distressed LMA and LSTA loan trades
- Partnering with Loan Operations and Loan Middle Office contacts to ensure timely settlement of trades and management of cash flow
- Co-ordination and timely solution of any post trade settlement cash queries with Client
- Drafting of Loan Trade settlement documentation – Trade Confirmations, Transfer Documents, Pricing Letters (amongst others) when not settling via electronic platform
- Review of underlying credit documentation (main focus on Tax and Transfer mechanics) to ensure accurate assignment of debt
- Managing waiver/amendment process versus open trade book portfolio
- Strong market sense/knowledge. Escalating trade settlement issues when required
- Assisting the Loan Agency Team with settlement of secondary Clearpar Trades on an ad-hoc basis
- Working with Agents to resolve discrepancies
- Reconciling Accounts
- Providing Reporting to clients
Skills required of the Loan Closer:
- Proven examples of working to tight deadlines
- A high degree of detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience of operating in a similar role previously
- At least 2-3 years of Loan Closing experience
- Thorough understanding of the ClearPar trade settlement platform
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
