About the Role:
We are seeking two highly skilled Loan Closers for a prestigious financial advisory firm based in London, with hybrid working of 3 days at home and 2 in the office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team on a temp-to-perm basis, offering the potential for a permanent position.
As a Loan Closer, you will be responsible for the settlement of primary and secondary loan trades. This includes the review and completion of all funding memos and settlement documentation, and effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. The role involves significant interaction with senior management, clients, trading counterparties, and other departments, ensuring the smooth and timely completion of all loan settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Settlement: Manage the entire settlement process for primary and secondary loan trades, including the completion of funding memos and settlement documentation.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with senior management, clients, trading counterparties, administrators, custodians, and trustees to ensure seamless loan settlements and maintenance of client positions.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any closing or transactional issues efficiently and effectively.
- Reporting: Contribute to the preparation and review of daily and weekly trade status and risk reports.
- System Management: Update Loan IQ and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets.
Experience & Skills:
- Industry Experience: experience in Par or Primary Loan Closing
- Loan Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan trade closing mechanics, economics, and LMA/LSTA market settlement conventions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ClearPar
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Pressure Management: Proven ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Extremely detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining control and accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals.
